How Funeral Apparel fits
Sizing labels tell you very little. A brand's "oversized" can be another brand's regular. This is what our cuts actually do, and what the people in the photographs are wearing.
The cropped cut
Our cropped tees and muscle shirts sit above the waistband, not at it. The body is boxy and wide, the shoulders are dropped, and the armholes are cut deep. The hem is left raw on the distressed pieces.
If you normally wear a longer tee and want it to sit at the hip, take your usual size and expect it to end higher than you are used to. If you want the cropped look exaggerated, the cut already does the work — sizing up mostly adds width.
The oversized cut
Oversized width, oversized shoulders, dropped armholes. The shoulder seam is designed to fall onto the upper arm rather than sit on the bone. Our Distressed Oversized T-Shirt is 7.5 oz 100% USA cotton, garment-dyed, so it holds its shape rather than draping.
Tapestry outerwear
The jackets and cardigans are cut oversized and are heavy — 28 oz. They are meant to be the outer layer over a tee, not squeezed under a coat. The shirts, at 18 oz, work either buttoned as the whole outfit or open over a plain tee.

Two things to notice. Tall models are often in Small or Medium in the tapestry outerwear, because the cut is genuinely oversized. And the same height appears in different sizes across pieces — that is the cut changing, not inconsistent sizing.
The short version
Take your normal size. The cuts do the work. Size up only if you want a cropped piece to sit lower or an oversized piece to swamp you deliberately.
